Known for its iconic surf break, Burleigh sits at the north end of the ‘world famous’ Surfing Reserve with Snapper Rocks to the south, and home to the world’s first ever surfing tour event (Stubbies Surf Classic) of the modern world back in 1977.
Home to the Kombumerri clan belonging to the Yugumbeh Language Group, and who named the area of Burleigh ‘Dreaming Mountain’ Jellurgal. Traditional custodians to this sacred region for over 23,000 years.
From our inception in 2018 and ongoing, it’s been important for us to work collectively with both local, and international communities across the board.
Australia has a unique natural beauty, from rugged coast lines, to the red dirt of the vast outback and beyond…. this is our backyard and we want to share it with the world. There’s just something about the Australian landscape, lifestyle and diverse culture which is so incredibly inspiring. It has shaped who we are and what we love.
It’s our connection to the land and being a part of likeminded communities that really inspire, while our sheer thirst for knowledge and adventure ultimately drives us.
We respect and honour Indigenous peoples on this land and are committed to building a bright, prosperous future.
For us it’s not only about designing clothing with performance, durability, and style in mind but, beyond that it’s about caring for our environment.
Founder, Glenn Mellross decided that after many years running a successful business in the civil construction industry, it was time for a change.
“It became apparent to me that I was overlooking the things that really matter, creating a sustainable lifestyle and spending valuable time with family and friends would prove to be the ultimate luxury.
I have always been passionate about our planet, and sustainability but felt like my personal contribution simply wasn’t enough. I wanted to have a greater purpose in life, and as a father of two young sons I felt the urge to do more and it was important for me to lead by example, not only for them but, future generations.”
